Volunteers

Build the Future

The Greater Austin Regional Science and Engineering Fair is a competition for students from 30 school districts and 14 counties who are advancing from their local schools. It is among the largest of the 15 regional science fairs held in Texas. More than 3,500 third - twelfth grade students and their families attend each year. The festival offers a public viewing of the science projects, educational booths and scientific demonstrations for the kids.

It is a valuable way to support our community by investing in our most important resource, our future.

We need approximately 250 general volunteers each year to help out with tasks such as registration, parking and unloading, project setup, ribbon hanging, logistics, etc.

Volunteers need no specific qualifications, but should be comfortable interacting with students, young adults as well as their parents, patience and the ability to smile even if your feet hurt. We are looking for people who can help out with tasks such as registration, parking and unloading, setup, ribbon hanging, logistics, etc.

If you have questions about being a general volunteer before registering online, please email Ingrid Weigand.
